The best part about working with Tregoney is that she is proficient in so many areas. She has been my voice teacher, mentor, director, friend and I always have so much fun with her. There is something to be said for working with a professional. She is inspirational, someone who is actually in the business and has been on Broadway. Tregoney knows what she is doing and is just a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anyone.

Tregoney Shepherd has been an inspiration to me over the past 5 years of my life. Her knowledge of the stage in addition to her incredible teaching ability allows her to evoke new and exciting talents from a singer to mold them into a well-rounded performer. She finds the balance of a healthy technique and natural ability and blends the two together to send a performance to a new level. A few key elements I learned from Tregoney are the use of breath, placement, and the freedom of voice. I was able to get rid of unnecessary physical and vocal tension and learned how to release that tension through physical movements and gestures. Tregoney was able to build upon other techniques and combines them with her own to create a specialized vocal lesson specifically for my needs and abilities. With her extensive background in performing, directing, choreographing, and teaching she can create performers who are able to apply these vocal techniques even when they are asked to perform intense choreography or blocking. All of this is done in an incredibly comfortable yet professional environment. She is always willing to find or learn new material that best suits her students and is constantly striving for the absolute best. Most of all, I have always been impressed by her own personal passion and drive, but also that same passion and drive which carries over for the careers and success of all of her students.
-Anthony J. Chavez (Spring Awakening, Annie Get Your Gun, A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum)
“Tregoney is the most effective voice teacher I have ever worked with. She has helped me so much in developing, polishing and refining my voice. Tregoney is so encouraging and loving, and tough when she needs to be, and I am never afraid to fail in front of her. Because of Tregoney I was accepted into 5 Nationally ranked Theater Programs for the fall, and will be attending Carnegie Mellon University. I have been so lucky to work with her and recommend her to everyone I know.
